Frustrated with long hold or reserve lists? Unfortunately, by the time you spot the latest John Grisham, James Patterson, or Nicholas Sparks book in the bookstore or on the shelf at Costco, the waiting list has already grown into the *gasp* hundreds. This happens because as soon as one library in our Suburban Library Cooperative places the book “on order” you are able to place your name on the list.
The following titles are all available in the library database right now. Some of the books may not be coming out until next month or even several months from now but savvy library users are able to place a hold right now.
Compulsion by Jonathan Kellerman (3/25)
Stranger in Paradise by Robert B Parker (2/5)
Change of Heart by Jodi Picoult (3/4)
Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah (2/5)
Dead Time by Stephen White (3/4)
Skeletons at the Feast by Chris Bohjalian (5/6)
7th Heaven by James Patterson (2/4)
Plague Ship by Clive Cussler (6/3)
The Appeal by John Grisham (1/29)
Duma Key: A Novel by Stephen King (1/22)
Someday by Karen Kingsbury (2/5)
Sizzle and Burn by Jayne Ann Krentz (1/29)
Strangers in Death by J.D. Robb (2/19)
The First Patient by Michael Palmer (2/19)
Sail by James Patterson (6/9)
The Whole Truth by David Baldacci (4/22)
Fearless Fourteen by Janet Evanovich (6/17)
We will make an effort to keep you up to date on what we are calling “Coming Soon to a Library Near You.”

Can you add to this list the new Christopher Paolini book coming out in Sept. 2008?
Thank you for commenting!
Paolini's new book, Brisingr, will be available in September, but we don't yet have it on order, so no holds can be placed. Once an SLC library orders it, we will definitely put it on this list.
