Bookclubbery

With book clubs all the rage right now – including our newest book club group meeting at WCV on the third Tuesday morning of every month at 10 am. The following two books offer marvelous ideas for finding that next great page turner.

1. So Many Books So Little Time: A Year of Passionate Reading by Sara Nelson.
028.9 N (SHL)
Ms. Nelson pens a book column for Publisher’s Weekly Magazine and brings a wealth of book knowledge and expertise to her writing. Her book is an entertaining read as well as offering readers insights into a wide variety of books.

2. Book Lust: Recommended Reading for every Mood, Moment, and Reason by Nancy Pearl
011.73 P (WCV)
Ms Pearl offers dozens and dozens of reading suggestions in an enormously wide variety of subject categories. Her annotations are informative, intriguing, as well as often humorous. Book Lust II as well as a special Book Crush for Kids and Teens followed her original title.
YA 028.5 P (WCV)

If you’d rather surf the web for more suggestions, a favorite site is http://www.bookclubgirl.com/
It offers book suggestions, news, and a selection of other worthwhile and book related links, that make this site a must for any potential book club attendees.
